What is Vacuum Casting?
Vacuum casting is a production technique that produces plastic components of high quality. Vacuum Liquid resin is poured into silicone molds.
The procedure is optimal when precise prototypes are required and the volume of production parts is small and the surface detail and material performance are superior.
What's Vacuum Casting Process
01. Master Patterns
Top Proto develops a high precision master parts normally through 3D printing or CNC machining to establish the form and finish of the part.
02. Solicone Mold Casting
The master pattern is put into a liquid silicone mold in order to create a flexible instance of the pattern. This enables high detail and accuracy of replication.
03. Urethane Pouring and Finishing
Urethane resin is cast under vacuum in order to remove air bubbles. The part is completed after drying and checked to produce constant production parts.

Frequently asked questions
What does the vacuum casting achieve?
Vacuum casts are applied to functional prototypes and low volume plastic components that need high quality of surfaces and details.
What is the number of parts that can be molded?
The silicone mold usually gives 15-30 parts, which varies according to the shape of the parts and the choice of materials.
Can you help with technical support?
Top Proto is also providing PU resins such as ABS like, PC like, rubber-like like and transparent products to suit various applications.
Can part production be done by vacuum casting?
Yes, vacuum casting is the best option when the quantity of parts to be made is low, when testing a product in the market, and when making a bridge prior to injection molding.
What is the length of the process of vacuum casting?
The majority of the vacuum casts take about 7-15 days to make the mold, cast and finish.
