Standard anodizing colors (clear, black, blue, gold, red, green) are available without a color matching cycle. Custom color matching requires a sample approval step before production, typically adding 3 to 5 business days to the standard anodizing lead time.

 For small quantities of 1 to 10 parts requiring cosmetic appearance, CNC machining with anodizing or painting produces the highest quality appearance prototype. For quantities of 20 to 50 parts where injection molding appearance is required, vacuum casting from a polished master pattern is the most appropriate process. For early-stage design evaluation where only geometric confirmation is needed, SLA 3D printing is the fastest and most cost-effective option.

Yes. Top Proto injection molds consumer product components in soft-touch TPE and TPU materials for grip surfaces, handle covers, and overmolded ergonomic zones. We also produce two-shot overmolded parts combining rigid ABS or PC substrates with soft-touch overmold zones in a single molding operation.

The transition from rapid tooling to production tooling typically occurs when cumulative volume exceeds the aluminum tooling shot life, usually 5,000 to 20,000 parts depending on resin and part complexity.
